Working with partner schools in Yogya

We will provide transportation to ViaVia Traveler’s Café, a well-known restaurant and meeting place in Yogyakarta. ViaVia was awarded the Wild Asia Responsible Tourism Award for Most Inspiring Responsible Tour Operator, demonstrating key principles of responsible tourism — maximum positive impacts to the local community and minimum negative impacts to the environment. Here, you can choose from optional tours or cultural courses, including an Indonesian cooking class, a silver jewelry making class, or a yoga class.

Optional tours, classes, and dinnerat ViaVia today are not included in the cost of the program. Here is a link to 2013 ViaVia Café menu. Be aware that menu prices are in Rupiah ‘000. Therefore, “30” for the Friday special, gulai ayam (chicken yellow curry), is not $30 U.S. Dollars, but rather 30,000 Rupia — equivalent to $3 U.S. Dollars.
